Collection: Artisan Boards

One-of-a-kind hardwood boards made by hand in our Guilford, Connecticut workshop. Each board in this collection is a single piece — when it sells, it's gone.

Every board starts as rough-sawn hardwood. We mill it, glue up the pattern, flatten it, and hand-finish with food-grade oil. End-grain boards take the most time — they're also the ones that hold up best in daily kitchen use and look better with age.

Wood species vary by board: walnut, maple, cherry, sapele, and occasionally zebrawood, purpleheart, or other exotics when we find good stock. Each listing shows the exact board you're buying — no catalog photos standing in for the real thing.

Care: hand wash only, dry flat, and oil occasionally with food-safe mineral oil or our board butter. These boards are built to last decades with basic care.
